Symposium “Digital Transformation”

The Centre for Informatics and Society at the Faculty for Informatics hosts a symposium as part of its mission to promote interdisciplinary discourse on its current focus, the digital transformation of society. By inviting international expert academics from a diverse number of fields – including social informatics, sociology, communication sciences, education / media pedagogy – we strive to elucidate both the status quo of digital transformation in these fields and the emergent issues and challenges that academic research, politics and society in general will have to address in the coming decade. The speakers and panelists will introduce the audience to aspects of digital transformation in their field through short impulse talks. Following this, a moderated panel discussion will explore differences and commonalities across the fields, and give the audience the opportunity to actively engage the panelist through questions. Finally, a buffet and drinks will round off the day for more informal talks with the panelists and audience.
